Each day we feature something from our collection of childhood bubblegum memories.  For those who remember them, these baseball cards have their own stories to tell.

What does this card bring to mind for you? Please share in the comments!

We would love to hear from you. Send a Tweet to @baseballisms with a quick message, send us an email or visit our Upload page with a video message.  We look forward to growing a community of fans interested in the poetry of the game of baseball!

I had this card once. No comment about the player, but look at the ridiculous pose he's in. And are those bleachers behind him? Give me an actual game shot any day of the week.

Yeah .. if that's how his swing finished he wouldn't have received a card with a fancy trophy on it … and not only are they bleachers, they look like the back of the bleachers, like he wasn't allowed onto the field :-) These kind of cards make me wonder why the players would allow to happen, didn't they have any say in it?

Doubtful. It was probably “Here kid, grab this bat and pose the way I tell ya.”
