I know what you say! Looking back on all of those championship years, the number of (or lack of ) World Series rings seem to hang on a few simple unorthodox twists. Herbie's claim to fame of a forceful removal of Ron Gant from first base is one of the most memorable. <br><br>Others have to include Lonnie Smith's baserunning issues, Jim Leyritz's home run off Mark Wohlers, even more recent stuff like Joey Devine giving up a homerun in the 18th inning of the NLDS in Houston. <br><br>UGH Hey JB .. I know what you say! Looking back on all of those championship years, the number of (or lack of ) World Series rings seem to hang on a few simple unorthodox twists.
