Holy Smokes ... I'll convert to the use of the term "Boggs" for Miller Lites myself. That's impressive. That boy must've had some serious kidney capacity too! They never answered that question. ....

Why do I suspect that kind of consumption volume may have played a role in the infamous Margot Adams situation he got himself into!?!

And yes, there was some emotional fans around Boston that night. I'm trying to get my brother to finally record his baseballism story about bolting out the door from my parent's 25th wedding anniversary party .. as we all stood around with un-opened champagne bottles. My mom had earlier uttered the mortal jinx by stating out loud "everyone will remember my 25th anniversary as the night the Red Sox finally won the World Series" ..... ugh.

I have it on good authority that all of Boston was weeping that night.

Anyhow, Boggs will always be at home in his Yankees cap, whether it's the baseball HOF or the Miller Lite HOF - http://tastybooze.com/2007/04/the-origin-of-boggs/

Ouch! .. That Chicken Man was run out of town because he was crying on the bench at Shea that night in '86. He deserves to be wearing a Tampa hat on his dubious Hall of Fame plaque.

When you speak of the demons being exorcised, is that a reference to Wade Boggs finally getting a ring in 96?

This is, of course, game 6 of the 1986 World Series, Mets - Red Sox.

E3 = Billy Buckner.

Thankfully, the demons have been exorcised and I can actually recall this game without weeping openly. :)
