1975 Topps

Greg Luzinski

Each day we feature something from our collection of childhood bubblegum memories.  For those who remember them, these baseball cards have their own stories to tell.

What does this card bring to mind for you? Please share in the comments!

We would love to hear from you. Send a Tweet to @baseballisms with a quick message, send us an email or visit our Upload page with a video message.  We look forward to growing a community of fans interested in the poetry of the game of baseball!

Luzinski hit the hardest ball I ever gave up in the 8 years I pitched in the minors. It went over the left field wall in Reading, Pa. before our left fielder could get fully turned around. After the inning our third baseman pleaded with me to never throw ANYTHING on the inside of the plate.

Tim! That definitely made me laugh .. just a look at the baseball card photo from 1975 gives a sense of just how powerful The Bull was. Good stuff .. great to hear from you!
